3.3 Institutional Effectiveness
The institution identifies expected outcomes, assesses the extent to which it achieves these outcomes, and provides evidence of improvement based on analysis of the results in each of the following areas: (Institutional Effectiveness)
– Administrative Support Services
– Academic and Student Support Services
– Research within Mission, if appropriate

7.3 – Assessment of “administrative effectiveness”
Focus on “assessing institutional performance with respect to mission in all aspects of the institution.”
– Moved to Section 8: Student Achievement
8.2.c – Assessment of “student outcomes” for academic and student services that support student success.
“These units provide direct support to faculty and students as related to their
educational programs, indirect support for student learning, or a specific co-curricular mission that supports the college experience.”
– Research within Mission, No corresponding requirement

8.2c - The institution identifies expected outcomes, assesses the extent to which it achieves these outcomes, and provides evidence of seeking improvement based on analysis of the results in academic and student services that support student success. (Student outcomes: academic and student services)

Colleges need to identify units within the college that deal with student achievement and/or student success
Include Institutes and Centers
Send to IE for review by December 1
7.3 Actions
College level administrative assessment will be included in annual College Review
Will no longer report in SAM
Need a summary of goals and outcomes in review
Reviews will be available for accreditation reviews
