3 I’m making a way in the desert, paths in the wilderness…”
Meditation Isaiah 43:19 The Lord says—“Look! I’m doing a new thing; now it sprouts up; don’t you recognize it? I’m making a way in the desert, paths in the wilderness…”

4 Musical Prelude Bringing in the Light of Christ

5 Choral Introit I Come to the Cross

6 *Call to Worship One: When the LORD changed Zion’s circumstances for the better, it was like we had been dreaming. Right: Our mouths were suddenly filled with laughter; Left: our tongues were filled with joyful shouts. All: The LORD has done great things for us and we are overjoyed

7 Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above
*Opening Hymn Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above Hymnal #126 Used By Permission. CCLI License #

8 Sing praise to God who reigns above, the God of all creation, the God of power, the God of love, the God of our salvation. With healing balm my soul is filled and every faithless murmur stilled: To God all praise and glory.

9 The Lord is never far away, but through all grief distressing, an ever present help and stay, our peace and joy and blessing. As with a mother's tender hand, God gently leads the chosen band: To God all praise and glory.

10 Thus all my toilsome way along, I sing aloud thy praises, that earth may hear the grateful song my voice unwearied raises. Be joyful in the Lord, my heart, both soul and body bear your part: To God all praise and glory.

16 Jesus the Very Thought of Thee
*Hymn Jesus the Very Thought of Thee Hymnal # 175  Used By Permission. CCLI License #

17 how kind thou art! How good to those who seek!
Jesus, the very thought of thee with sweetness fills the breast; but sweeter far thy face to see, and in thy presence rest. O hope of every contrite heart, O joy of all the meek, to those who fall, how kind thou art! How good to those who seek!

18 But what to those who find?
Ah, this nor tongue nor pen can show; the love of Jesus, what it is, none but his loved ones know. Jesus, our only joy be thou, as thou our prize wilt be; Jesus, be thou our glory now, and through eternity.

19 Prayers of the People Silent Prayer

20 Hymnal #895 Used By Permission. CCLI License #

21 Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

22 but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

23 as it was in the beginning,
Gloria Patria Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen. Used By Permission. CCLI License #

24 Scripture Reading John 12:1-8 1Six days before the Passover Jesus came to Bethany, the home of Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. 2There they gave a dinner for him. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at the table with him. 3Mary took a pound of costly perfume made of pure nard, anointed Jesus’ feet, and wiped them* with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was about to

25 Scripture Reading John 12:1-8 betray him), said, 5‘Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii* and the money given to the poor?’ 6(He said this not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief; he kept the common purse and used to steal what was put into it.) 7Jesus said, ‘Leave her alone. She bought it* so that she might keep it for the day of my burial. 8You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.’

26 Sermon What’s it Worth?

27 I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and earth;
The Apostle’s Creed (Hymnal # 881) I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried;

28 the third day, He rose from the dead; he ascended to Heaven, and sitteth
at the right hand of the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

29 Take My Life, and Let it Be
*Hymn Take My Life, and Let it Be Hymnal # 399 Used By Permission. CCLI License #

30 Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee
Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee. Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of thy love. Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.

31 Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King
Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King. Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from thee. Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect, and use every power as thou shalt choose

32 Take my will, and make it thine; it shall be no longer mine
Take my will, and make it thine; it shall be no longer mine. Take my heart, it is thine own; it shall be thy royal throne. Take my love, my Lord, I pour at thy feet its treasure-store. Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for thee

33 Benediction
