From the video… Who? What? When? Where? Why?
Who was impacted by the bushfire? What? What happened? What was damaged in the fire? When? When was the bushfire? Where? Where did the bushfire take place? Why? Why did the bushfire happen? How did it start? What made it worse?

Summarise Summarise means to retell the main ideas or events in a text in your own words. Remember to: pull out main ideas use key words and phrases use your own words use connective words (then, and, FANBOYS) identify important information (who, what, where, when and why).

If you finish early.. Put your hand up for a teacher to check your work. After a teacher has checked your work, get an iPad and share your 66 word summary on Seesaw and explain your learning. If an iPad is not available, you can either: Get a bushfires word search from Mrs Brothers; or Visualise a scene from the story you read and draw Mrs Brothers a picture of what you imagined when you read the text.
