Tournament Schedule Tournament will begin on Wednesday, June 20th
Championship games are scheduled for June 29th Weather permitting

Verify pitching record is signed Verify all necessary contents are in the binder

Weather Related Schedule Changes
All communication will be sent through website (www. Texasd7.com) All adults associated with the team should register Pick your team when registering Schedule on website is always the official schedule

2018 Rule Changes/Updates Regulation VI(d) – Cannot pitch in 3 consecutive days Regulation VI Note 3 – Suspended game resumes where it left off, even if one inning has not completed Rule 3.03 – Pitcher, after meeting MPR, can be offensively substituted for one time, so long as he/she is not physically removed from the mound Tournament Rule 12 – Run Rule, 15 runs after 3 innings Tournament Rule 7 – Pitcher is to be removed on 3rd visit of the inning (or 4th of the game) in 8-10 year old. All other divisions it is 2nd visit of the inning (3rd of the game) Tournament Protest (Use of ineligible player) – Added language that the Tournament Director and/or District Administrator is to raise the question of an ineligible player, even if the opposing manager does not Tournament Rule 9 – Attachment

Umpire/Scorekeeper/Pitch-Counter
Manager (only) may address the umpire, only. Any question for the scorekeeper/pitch-counter will be sent via home plate umpire Scorekeeper will also communicate through the home plate umpire

Supplemental Rules Managers are to meet at Operations Hub 60 minutes before game for coin toss and affidavit/lineup presentation Team traveling furthest will call coin toss Home team occupies first base dugout Only the district-provided game balls will be used Manager is responsible to pick up binder Read/Study the green book

Equipment Checks – Bats, Catchers Gear and Helmets Bats – Know your division’s bat rules! Catchers Gear – check the mask to ensure all the screws are present and tight. Dangling Throat Guard must be in place Batting Helmets – Nothing more than Manufacturers stickers unless approved by Manufacturer with letter. No C Flaps (exception: Boombah brand helmet with Boombah brand C Flap) NO Bat Donuts Any player catching infield or outfield practice must have a catchers helmet on Adults cannot warm up a pitcher at any time

The original and two copies go to the tournament/site director, and to no one else, at affidavit check-in no later than one hour before game. The tournament/site director will then distribute the original lineup card and two copies to the plate umpire, who will distribute the copies to the scorekeeper minutes before game time and the opposing manager at plate meeting. Once turned in to Plate Umpire then Lineup is considered official. Scorekeeper and Pitch Counter will be identified to the Home Plate Umpire The role of Scorekeeper and Pitch Counter are game officials. As such, they are NOT allowed to communicate directly with Managers/Coaches/Parents or fans. The Plate umpire will remind them of this prior to each game.

Managers and Coaches must wait till Umpire calls for batter before going to coaches box On Deck Batter – only one outside of Dugout with Bat. No on-deck batter Majors and Below. 1 Minute Between Innings – need someone to warm up the pitcher if catcher is not ready All Substitutions to be given to the Home Plate Umpire. Home Plate Umpire will provide the substitutions to Scorekeeper. At NO time shall the Managers or Coaches engage with Scorekeeper or Pitch Counter. If you need Pitch Count, Ask the Plate Umpire Offensive Substitutions – occur at the time of the player comes to bat Defensive Substitutions – occur at the time they are inserted in the game Pitcher thresholds – make sure to communicate to Plate Umpire that you want to threshold a pitcher. It is the Managers Responsibility to ensure the pitcher’s pitch count is correct at the end of a game.

Managers and Players Request time – Umpires grant time Remember only 1 Offensive time out per half inning Batters to keep one foot in Box or risk a strike being called Managers are responsible for the conduct of the players and fans. If you remain composed they will too Remember to not let any situation become Prolonged, Personal or Profane. Throwing of equipment in response to an umpires call will result in an ejection. Ejections require the player or Coach to sit out the next game Judgement calls can not be appealed. Only rule interpretations can be questioned of the umpire making the call
