Very Large Class – Basic Sciences, Introductory Classes, University Cores. Very Busy Classes – Labs, Recitation Multidisciplinary Courses Department has too much money ***

Possible Approaches Distribution of main topics/goals amongst teachers
Distribution of sub-topics every class Rotation of classes Division of Labor

Pros Lighter load Collaboration of ideas Division of labor
Probably interesting for students More realistic evaluation of teaching and course in general Better evaluation of students Availability of back-up

Cons Might be a bit confusing for students (at first)
Conflict of Ideas Dependency Dominance Possible difficulty in flexibility

Addressing Challenges
Confusion from teachers Preplanning Confusion from students Make them aware of how it will be done from the beginning Avoid sudden changes Conflicts Preplanning (again!!!) Come to agreement long before topic is to be taught or decision is to be made Approach a higher authority if necessary Do not argue or disagree in the presence or to the knowledge of students Grading Must be agreed upon and completely uniform Students must know the plan
