3 How Can I See my Counselor?
Go to the Counseling Office located in the Administration Building. During Break, Lunch, After School Complete the Yellow Appointment Form. Helpful Hints: Write Clearly and Be Specific

6 How Should my Schedule Look?
English 9 / English 9E Environmental Science / Agricultural Science PE 1 / PE 3 / Conditioning and Fitness World Geography / 9th Grade Seminar / Human Geography AP Math 1A / Math 1 / Math 1E Elective

7 Earning Credits You earn 5 credits for each class passed
A, B, C, or D are passing grades, F’s ARE NOT! 5 credits X 7 classes = 35 credits per semester. If you pass all of your classes by the end of your Senior year, you will end up with 280 Credits!

12 UC/CSU A-G Course List Select courses from this list if you are interested in attending a 4 year university. Meet required number of years in each A-G category Students must pass all classes with a “C” or better. A grade of D or F in these classes MUST be repeated.

14 Involvement Outside the Classroom
Colleges look at your accomplishments both inside and outside the classroom. Your academics are always the priority, but your involvement says a lot about you. Don’t feel like you need to be involved in everything. Colleges want quality vs. quantity. They look for students who demonstrate a commitment to the things they love and are involved in.

15 What Should I be Doing as a Freshman?
Meet your Counselor Get Involved Get Good Grades Explore Interests and Possible Careers Build a portfolio and keep track of awards, certificates, volunteer work, etc. Start learning about colleges Visit different college campuses REVIEW YOUR FRESHMAN CHECKLIST!!! Pick it up in front of the PAT.

19 Goals: Graduating with Honors
Students having an overall weighted grade point average of 3.5 or above for the first 7 semesters will receive a green and white cord to wear at graduation.

20 California Scholarship Federation (CSF)
California Scholarship Federation (CSF) Life members will wear their gold cords at the graduation ceremony. Life membership is attained by qualifying for, and enrolling in, CSF 4 out of 6 semesters. Get an application from Mr. Lewis in Room M-4 or in the Counseling office.
