Student Homework Responsibilities: As per district student handbook Know and record what homework has been assigned Make sure the assignment is understood Take necessary materials home to complete assignments Budget time to complete assignments around other activities Request help when needed Complete assignments accurately, neatly, and on time Recognize the importance of establishing good study habits Sarah

Homework* Parent Homework Responsibilities: As per district student handbook Together with your child, budget time for homework around other family commitments Provide feedback to the school regarding problems such as time, difficulty, and progress Encourage and motivate your child to fulfill his/her responsibilities Provide a suitable study area for your child in the home Encourage independence in completion of homework assignments Be available to assist, but do not do the homework for your child Recognize the importance of establishing good homework habits that will benefit your child for the rest of his/her life Sarah

Supplies Each teacher will have needed supplies in their room (pencils, crayons, scissors, etc). No pencil boxes or supplies from home Each student in 4th grade will have a binder that will travel with them from class to class. Your child will be responsible for taking their binder home and bringing it back to school each day. Each teacher will assist students with removing old papers from the subject they teach. An agenda will be provided to record homework assignments each week. Heather

Technology Personal devices may be used in the classroom following a few guidelines: The Electronic Device Form must be signed and returned to school. The devices may only be used during class for educational purposes. The teacher must approve apps/websites before classroom use. Cell phones are not permitted as an independent reading device. If the technology policy is not followed, the device will be not be welcome in the classroom. Jen
