Honors English 9 Everything You Always Wanted to Know about English)

2 Will NOT be an everyday activity (3-4 days per week).
JOURNALS Will begin Monday, 8/18. They should already have a spiral bound notebook or composition book. Will NOT be an everyday activity (3-4 days per week). Will be read by others. Will be graded under the “Writing” category, which counts for 30% of your grade (This means it is weighted pretty heavily). Must be a minimum of 6 well-developed sentences. That’s about it or That’s all I have to say does NOT count as a “well-developed” sentence.

3 Cornell-style focus notes
Worth 10% of your grade (that’s a lot!). We will be practicing how to properly take and review notes.

4 Anything with a non-Friday due date will be handed in separately.
Classwork/homework Most classwork will handed in on Fridays with an assignment sheet attached. Anything with a non-Friday due date will be handed in separately.

5 Look for the BTSN Secret and have students turn in for a reward.

If they are absent, here is where they can go to get make up work: Look for the BTSN Secret and have students turn in for a reward. Also, Aeries.net is the place to go to look at grades. Aeries registration instructions are on page 2 of your child’s student handbook.
