What is a Republic? It is a system in which citizens elect leaders to represent them. Ex: The United States is a Republic because citizens elect members of congress (Senate and House of Representatives) to pass legislation in the federal government. Does this make the US a Parliamentary Democracy?

The Prime Minister organizes a coalition to govern. A coalition is a group of several different political parties that have to cooperate in order to make decision (coalition government) Legislature known as the Knesset
