5. Control Center
Receives and processes information from the receptors.

6. Effectors
Responds to the commands of the control center, opposes or enhances the stimulus.

8. Example:
Heating your house via a thermostat.

10. When a stimulus makes the body change from homeostatic conditions, the body will respond. (Ex: Temp, blood lose)

11. Negative feedback
Is when the body produces a stimulus that opposes the original stimulus.

14. Positive feedback
Initial stimulus produces a response that reinforces the stimuli.

Compounds that dissolve into ions. (Ex. Salts. Alterations of these ions can disturb almost every vital function. Low K+ = muscular paralysis)
