Hello! My name is Mrs. Spires. It’s my pleasure to welcome your child as part of my classroom this year! I am so excited to be part of the Kindergarten team at Belmont Hills Elementary.
Let me share a little about myself with you. I was born and raised New Jersey. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and my Master’s degree in Special Education from Valdosta State University. I have taught at Belmont Hills Elementary school for 3 years. .
I am married and have three children. Morgan is in 10th grade, Javier is in his 2 year in college and Luiz is in his 4th year of college. My youngest is always busy attending cross country, girl scouts and orchestra event. As a family, we all enjoy traveling, reading and cooking.
My favorite foods are Italian and Mexican and my favorite candy is Twizzlers “Nibs” and anything Dark Chocolate!
Teaching has always been my passion. I love instilling a love of learning in my students so they become life-long learners. I love seeing that spark, that smile, and sense of pride a student feels when he or she accomplishes a difficult task or learns a new skill. I am looking forward to working with you to make this a successful and amazing year for your child.
