1 Enlarging our Hearts 2 Corinthians 6:11-13
How can we maintain loving fellowship with one another after we’ve caused one another pain? Paul’s relationship with the Corinthians gives the answer. We must strive to enlarge our hearts and increase our affections, recognizing and acknowledging our love and mutual concern for one another.

2 Paul’s Relationship with the Corinthian Church
He had planted it! (1 Corinthians 3:6; Acts 18:1-11) They had been sinners! (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) They now were saints! (1 Corinthians 1:1-2) Paul had supported himself so as not to burden them All things were for their sake (2 Corinthians 4:7-15) Including Paul’s suffering (1 Corinthians 4:9-16) Now they were turning away from Paul (2 Corinthians 10:7-12). Paul urges them to open their hearts (2 Corinthians 6:11-13)

3 Enlarging our Hearts Toward Fellow Christians
Recognize that these are good people who love and care for us (2 Corinthians 7:2-3; Romans 15:14) Understand that their goodness and love is there even when (or especially when) they admonish us (2 Corinthians 7:8-12; Proverbs 27:6) Realize that when it comes to love, we reap what we sow (2 Corinthians 9:6; Matthew 7:12)

4 Enlarging our Hearts “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.” John 4:20-21
