We wrote about the pumpkin life cycle, we made a pumpkin patch with pumpkin facts and read many nonfiction and fiction books with pumpkins! One of our favorites was Spookley The Square Pumpkin. We discussed how characters can change in a story. We made our own Spookley and used adjectives to describe our unique pumpkin. We acted out the story of The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything and started getting ready for our fall plays!
