6 The Winter of Our Discontent...
In 1905 Lenin urged the Bolsheviks to rise in bloody revolution during the civil unrest In order to gain funds, Lenin authorised robbery of banks, post offices etc. 1917 strikes in St Petersburg developed into a nationwide revolution Lenin urged the Bolsheviks to reject the provisional government Supporters of provisional government labelled as traitors The Winter of Our Discontent...

7 The Beginning of Stability...
After defending the Petrograd Soviet from a coup, Lenin suggested an armed insurrection to topple the government was needed This lead to the creation of the Military Revolutionary Committee, the council in charge of the large militia October 1917: Bolsheviks take control of the Winter Palace, therefore effectively being in control of Russia The Beginning of Stability...

8 1918 the Communist party is the De Facto leaders of Russia
The communist party was the majority party in the Svonarkom By 1919 all other parties had been expelled, creating a one party state The Svonarkom relocated to Moscow because of the threats of German attack Lenin’s Government

11 Lenin ordered Trotsky to create a People and Worker’s Red Army
Red Army wiped out the former Tsar and his family in order for them not to be liberated by the white army Lenin had sanctioned the executions of those who were against him in the civil war Civil War
