Sacraments Sunday Mass: at Aliamanu Military Reservation Chapel (AMR) 1100 at Main Post Chapel, Schofield Barracks (MPC) Daily Mass: Monday and Wednesday at 1200 at Soldier’s Chapel Tuesdays at 1700 at AMR Thursdays at 0900 at AMR Reconciliation: Reconciliation will be available at Soldier’s Chapel at 1230 on Wednesdays or at AMR on Thursdays at 0930 weekly. You can also make an appointment, please contact Fathers Joe, Jason or Sebastian via which is provided on the back of this bulletin. There will be no Reconciliation on Sunday’s by the presiding priest because they are spiritually preparing for Mass and often have to go to celebrate Mass at both chapel communities. Marriage: Please contact one of our priests at least six months prior to anticipated date of wedding. Mandatory Pre-Cana classes are required. Baptism: Bi-monthly celebrations. Preparation class required. Please RSVP for class. Next AMR Baptism Class: September at 1800 Next AMR Baptism: September during Mass Next MPC Baptism Class: August at 1830, Room 15B Next MPC Baptism: September at 1200 Community Announcements Thank you to those that support our Holy Mass through ministry support. Both AMR and MPC need Hospitality and Usher/Greeter Ministry Leads. This is a great way to serve God and our community. If you don’t feel like you can do it alone, please ask a friend and co chair this together. 2 September will be a designated offering to the Military Archdiocese. AMS Catechist Certification is available in a classroom setting on September at Hickam Chapel Center and it’s incredible! Jose Amaya will be here from the AMS to conduct the training. We prefer for all our catechists to be AMS certified, and even if you aren’t currently teaching, we are willing to invest in you and have you attend for future commitments you have not made yet! The certification is good for three years. On the 28th, the hours are between and on the 29th between The full twelve hours are required for certification. We will pay for your registration fee as long as we have not previously paid for one. If we have, and you would like to attend this, you can pay for it individually as well. If you are interested, we need to know by 2 September. Please Ute Eble, the MPC REC at she will be compiling one consolidated list. Thank you to Hickam Prince of Peace Catholic Community for the invitation! EHMC training is at MPC at 1200 on 9 SEP. To be an EHMC you must be over 18, have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and if you are married, it needs to be within the guidelines of the Catholic Church. If you have any questions please see Latonya Nowak, our awesome MPC EHMC Ministry lead. Children’s Rosary is prayed weekly at Soldiers Chapel on Thursdays at 1500. We are back in session!! AMR CWOC meets on Thursdays from 9:00-11:30 at AMR Chapel Center for Mass, brunch, fellowship and faith formation open to all women. An evening study meets from in the activity room every other Thursday open to all women. We are one unified group doing the same studies and activities. Childcare will be provided for the morning session by our PWOC sisters and we in turn provide childcare for their meetings.  The MPC CWOC meets on Wednesday mornings from for fellowship and the opportunity to grow in faith together. We meet at MPC Activity Room D9. Childcare is provided and we are grateful for it! AMR Men’s Bible Study will meet on 8 September due to Labor Day Weekend. Marriage Encounter Weekend “A weekend of discover, a lifetime of love.” Join couples who are intent on going from good to great marriages by signing up for a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend.  Next Oahu weekend is 31 Aug -2 Sep at St. Anthony’s Retreat Center in Kalihi valley.  44 hours from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. MPC 352/870.10 Religious Education Religious Education for this school year will run through 19 May 2019. Classes are held weekly from with various holidays and long weekends off. For questions about the Religious Education program in your community, please contact Ute Eble at Scofield Barracks or Ritchie Mediano at AMR. Their s are on the back of the bulletin. We will continually need volunteers through out the year, so please support our program. Mandatory Confirmation Retreat will be held at AMR on 9 March 2019 Family Night will be held on Tuesdays starting with Mass at 1700 at AMR. Family Night will be held on Wednesdays at 1800 at MPC. Family Night programs will include religious education curriculum and methods that will allow your family to explore and practice your faith together in a joyful way, as a family.
