5 Leadership Be fair to the situation. Be fair to all students. This does not happen overnight, but in leadership the best quality that you can build with people is that you are fair. Which I believe is better than, well at least he is consistent. In the short run you get what you get and in the long run you get what you deserve. 7 Setting Expectations (Culture of Daily Business)
If you expect it, you need to teach it. Give teachers time to implement expectations. Be clear on expectations and give as much time as you can for staff to complete what is expected. Lead by example- Leaders are hard working, trustworthy, ethical, and treat everyone with respect. To build expectations instill a sense of urgency that others share the desire to overcome. Keep your team on their toes- Set goals with measurable outcomes, what gets measured gets done. If you expect it, you have to teach it.

Teachers are expected to document at least 3 positive parent contacts each semester. Various other methods of communication including Remind 101, School Facebook page, Webpage, Class DoJo, electronic publications, Way to Go Postcards, family events, student recognitions, etc.

Positive Systems with courageous people make great schools for kids. Constantly stir the water so it never settles or gets clear. Leadership is doing the hard things with courage because it’s the right thing to do for kids and the betterment of their future. Be the difference in a student’s life.

Use this data to triangulate in order to generate an accurate picture. Track, track, track – ensure the data is supportive of the student and suggested need. A focus on data-based decision making supports a culture of high expectations.

Structured grade level PLC meetings to analyze student progress which informs and guided instructional practices, interventions, and enrichment. Weekly meetings allowed for analysis of academic and behavior supports. Setting the expectation that ALL STUDENTS WILL LEARN and GROW is a REQUIREMENT!
