Student Reflection Activity
This is a one pager for your students to complete toward the end of the year, to reflect on the year that was. (I’ve actually included two options – the first will use a bit more ink than the second and the second also has a spot to put a little student photo.) Print the reflection sheet on to white paper (or cardstock). Have students complete these sheets in their best writing/printing – even with fine tipped, colored markers. Then, laminate the sheets and pass them back to your students on the last day of school when they get their report cards, or use them as a display if your grade has a “graduation”. It’s a nice little memento for students to have of their current grade, highlighting some of the memories of their year. Of course, students are free to add more graphics/decorations to personalize their reflection sheet. For instance, if soccer was a big part of their life, they could draw a soccer ball somewhere on their sheet, if it’s not otherwise represented. Perhaps they won a contest, or joined the band, but these don’t fit anywhere on their sheet – they can simply add symbols to represent these things anywhere they like on their sheet. They should have fun with it – it was their year!
