2. What is a Book Talk?
For our purposes, book talks will serve as commercials or advertisements for the book that we have read and want to share with others. They are short and sweet intended just to pique the interest of our fellow classmates!

3. The Presenter is expected to...
Display the book that they are going to talk about
Be enthusiastic about the book
Name the author and title of the book
Speak about the characters, setting and give a hint about the plot
2 minute speaking limit
Have Fun
Complete form - I Presented !

4. The Audience is expected to...
Listen attentively
Stay focused (eyes) on the Presenter
Be supportive (snaps or claps after the “talk”)
Use Response card
Have their Books I Want to Read list ready to jot the title of a book that interests

5. The teacher is expected to...
Provide models of book talks
Keep track of who has presented
Keep track of the time limit
*Please note that the responsibility of keeping track of presentations and time will be gradually released to YOU ( the student)
