Acknowledging is one perspective amongst others, e.g. “Thanks Sarah. That is one of way looking at this issue, any other perspectives in the group?” Recognizing what it takes to make a controversial statement, e.g. “ Thanks Juan, it takes courage to share a strong statement. Any reactions in the group? Echoes? Other perspectives?” Checking back for similar and different experiences in the group, e.g. “Thanks Molly. Anyone with a similar or different experience in the group?”

17 PAUSE & ASK THE GROUP TO NAME THE EMOTION
e.g. “Thanks Kevin. These are profound conversations we are having. Before we continue I want to invite the group to do a quick round of emotions, how are we feeling? Important things stir up reactions, the space is open. ”
