2 Fast FACTS about FCCLA Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national career and technical student organization. FCCLA is the only national Career and Technical Student Organization with the family as its central focus. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues. Today over 160,000 members in more than 5,400 chapters are active in 47 states, including the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

10 Meetings in Texas Fall District Meeting- Meet other FCCLA members from Saginaw and Chisholm and find out what FCCLA is all about! November 14, HCTC (Tentative) Regional Meetings – February 21-23, Waco, Texas. Students will participate in STAR/Proficiency Events and learn from concurrent sessions. State Leadership Conference- April 4-6, 2019 – Dallas, Texas. Students will participate in leadership sessions, STAR/Proficiency Events, general sessions and special community service projects.

11 National Conference June 30–July 4, 2019 – Anaheim, CA
Students will participate in STAR event competitions, leadership trainings, and other activities while meeting FCCLA members from across the nation.

14 How do I join? Pick up instructions to affiliate using the Membership Form Google Doc from Mrs. Metz or Mrs. Taylor. Fill out your membership form and return it with $30.00 state and national dues (includes membership t shirt!) by Sept. 30th. Attend the first meeting on Aug.28th at 4:30 PM in W103 (Ice Cream Party!) A makeup meeting will be held Aug. 30th at 8:30 AM in W103 (Donuts!)
