Spansion® HyperFlash™ Memory: World’s Fastest NOR Flash
Compelling Features: 5x the Read Speed of Quad SPI 333MB/sec VCC = 1.8V 200MB/sec VCC = 3.0V 96ns Initial Read Access Time 128, 256, 512 Mb densities Automotive Temperature Supports Extended Temp Range -40°C to 125C° HyperFlash NOR Memory is the world’s FASTEST NOR flash manufactured with Spansion’s 65nm MirrorBit technology fabricated in our own Austin, Texas fab. It offers 5 times the read performance of Quad SPI NOR with a read throughput of 333MB/sec for 1.8V and 200MB/sec for 3.0V. Initial read access time is 96ns. HyperFlash will initially have densities of 128, 256, and 512Mb. HyperFlash is offered in a small space-saving 8x6mm BGA package that is compatible with other SPI NOR devices. Allow me to elaborate. (Go to next slide.) HyperFlash supports automotive temperature requirements up to the Extended Temperature Range which is -40°C to 125C°. Auto-Cluster Infotainment Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Solutions for Instant-On and Interactive Graphical User Interface D-SLR The high read throughput of HyperFlash Memory can be used in a wide variety of applications that require, for example, instant-on and interactive graphical user interfaces. What I show here are some examples of where we are finding real applications that benefit from HyperFlash memory.
