In your exam you will choose only 1 but today we will recap all 3 writing styles
What was FLAP and why is it important? Form- letter, article leaflet etc Audience – who are you writing for? What do you know about them? Language – appropriate for the audience e.g informal if writing to your own age, formal if to an authority figure Purpose – Inform, explain or describe?

Copy down these features in your book wide range of appropriate detail use of adjectives and adverbs use of colour use of senses: sight, touch, hearing, taste, sound words to convey feelings and atmosphere use of metaphor and simile, perhaps use of personification variation of sentence length and type rich, varied, perhaps unusual vocabulary This is more like your creative writing coursework!!

Task You won’t be asked to do all 3 in the exam but this help you practice all 3 skills. You are going to create a leaflet about a sport of your choice however, You must have 3 sides to the leaflet 1 informing your reader about the sport 1 explaining the rules and 1 describing an exciting game or event you have seen
