Early indication: SME support changes behaviour more. Eg €80k per job, vs €500k for large firms
Soon: comparison of different forms of SME support (grants, loans, advice, mixed combos)
Beneficiary survey (1000 firms) shedding a lot of light on process

3. WP2: innovation support
Aim: exploratory. Effect of ERDF on innovation (eg patents, inno invest).
Task 1. Examining data from 7 MSs: CZ, ES, FR, PL, SL, SK, UK (Wales, London) => data reporting recommendations
Task 2: CF (as far as possible) in the 7, more detailed analysis in Eastern Germany (using more inno data) => results (where possible), tips for future work
Again, results expected December, final publication early 2012
