We will continue our Unit on The People, the Presidents, and the Preamble. The students will read various texts about immigrants. We will also study MLK’s contributions.
Skills: making predictions, main idea, inferencing, and opinion writing
Math
We will continue our study of fractions on a number line. Sumdog Contest ends Thursday evening. Please have your child working toward their 1,000 goal. Top 3 finishers with highest accuracy will be treated to a movie at Olive Branch Malco.
Important Dates
Sumdog contest- begins Jan. 18th at 8am and ends Jan 24th
Jan. 21- No School for MLK day
Feb 21- Immigration feast
Feb 22- Immigration day (dress up)
