3. The Structure of a Seed The structure of a seed consists of:
Cotyledons - Food storage organs that function as first seed leaves.
Plumule - Embryo shoot.
Epicotyl - Stem above cotyledon.
Hypocotyl - Stem below attachment point.
Radicle - Stem tip developing into a root.
