You can make some diagrams and drawings using the pre-set shapes on the “Drawing” toolbar. But what if you need to do a simple drawing that doesn’t resemble squares, ovals, or straight lines?

The Microsoft’s Scribble tool will let you draw any shape with the simple movement of your mouse.

First, make sure the “Drawing” toolbar is displayed. To do that, go to the top of your screen and click on “View.”

On the list that drops down, put your cursor on “Toolbars.” That will display a list of possible “Toolbars.”

Click on the “Drawing” toolbar.

That will add the “Drawing” toolbar to your computer’s screen.

On the “Drawing” toolbar, click on “AutoShapes.”

That will open a list of AutoShapes you can choose from.

Click on “Lines”...

and then click on the squiggly line called “Scribble.”

Then, when you click the left button on your mouse and hold it down, your cursor will change into a pencil that you can drag around your screen to draw simple pictures.

When you let the mouse button up, the pencil cursor goes away... but you can repeat the process to draw your next line.

AutoShapes... Lines... Scribble... Left mouse button... and draw.

And then you can use the “Drawing” toolbar to fill in colors and words.
