1 Vocabulary Intro

2 assistant An assistant is a person who helps someone else.
The assistant is helping to put up this sign. If you had an assistant, what would they help you do?

3 agreed If you agreed with someone, you had the same opinion or idea as that person. The people agreed that this road needed a stop sign. What kinds of chores have you ever agreed to do?

4 polite Someone who has good manners is polite.
This sign reminds children to be polite , or nice, to others. What are some ways you could be polite?

5 failed If you failed to do something, you did not succeed in doing it.
The sign failed to keep the dog off the grass. What is something that you failed at the first time you did it?

6 tearing Tearing something down is pulling or ripping it apart.
The worker is tearing apart this old sign. What things would be easy at tearing apart?

7 wisdom Wisdom is knowledge or understanding that comes from experience. The words of wisdom on this billboard teach us to act the right way. Who do you know who has wisdom?

8 cleared If you cleared a place, you made it neat or empty by taking things away. The crossing guard cleared the way so these children could cross. After is snowed, what kind of things cleared the snow away?

9 trouble Trouble is a problem that makes something difficult.
Without signs, drivers would have trouble knowing when to stop. Tell about a time you once got in trouble.
