The Transcontinental Railroad
What I knew is that the telegraph was not for goods it was only for communication and it did not travel that slow. The strong supporter of the transcontinental railroad was a man called Abraham Lincoln. Two companies built the transcontinental railroad and they were the central pacific and the union pacific.

The Gold Rush There were about a thousand of people that went to California on search of gold. There was a man called George Jackson that went on search for gold in January 1859 in the rocky mountains. Jackson found a few gold flakes in Denver,Colorado

Cowboys Cowboys had a lot to do like cattle drive. That means that they had to go from one place to another with a flock of animals. They were going to a place where beef was scare.so they had to get a lot of money like 40 dollars. In texas they sold longhorns for just $4.00.But because there was not a lot of longhornes in the east they had to sell it for $40.00
