Their Attendance at the Assemblies of the church
If the attend ALL of the assemblies – they must be “faithful brethren”
If they attend SOME of the assemblies – they must be “weak brethren”
Their Participation in church-related activities
If they participate in ALL of the activities – Bible classes, home studies, etc. – they must be “strong brethren”

Often Measure Christians by:
But if for ANY reason they do not participate in ALL that the church offers, their “commitment” is suspect
Their Leadership abilities
Men are considered strong Christians if they- Lead singing, lead prayers, help serve the Lord’s Supper, teach classes, preach sermons, etc.
Women are considered strong Christians if they – teach children’s classes, women’s classes, prepare communion, clean the building, etc.

Tends to measure the OUTSIDE of man
Do ALL these things – spiritually destitute INSIDE
Hypocrites can exist comfortably with such a measure
Brethren remain in “spiritual immaturity” if this is the only measure given to them
It tends to neglect the multi-faceted nature of the body of Christ
Teaching over Service – Romans 12:3-8 “all do not have the same function”

This is a measure that often only the Lord sees
We see each other only for a short time each week
But the Lord sees us as we really are!
Some who seem “passive” when together may be “active” when apart
Active in their warfare against personal sin
Active in their daily service to others
Activity we may never SEE – but the Lord knows!
