3 CAHS Testing Schedule Tuesday, March 4 through Thursday, March 6, 2014
Date Time Students Transportation Tuesday March 4  7:20-12:15 11th Grade Only + few 12th Grade Testers MME Day 1: ACT Plus Writing (required) ALL 3 DAYS OF TESTING ARE MANDATORY! Buses will take students home at approximately 12:15 NO SCHOOL on March 4, 2014 for 9th, 10th, 12th Grade Wednesday March 5  7:20-10:45 9th, 10th, 11th(+ few 12th) Grade Testing 9th – ACT PLAN (required) 10th – ACT Released Test (required) 11th (some 12th)- MME Day 2: ACT WorkKeys (required) No Late Start Buses will run at regular time for testing students 10:45-2:15 All students (including 12th grade) will have a Half Day starting at 10:45 (Hrs. 1-3 for all students) Buses will run 3.5 hours later than regular day for 12th graders HALF-DAY (afternoon) on March 5, 2014 for ALL Students All other students will be TESTING in the morning and classes in the afternoon! Thursday March 6 11th(some 12th) - MME Day 3: Michigan Math, Science, Social Studies (required) (Hrs. 4-6 for all students) Buses will run 3.5 hours later than regular day for all other students HALF-DAY (afternoon) on March 6, 2013 for 12th Grade only *** Mrs. Gunn, Mrs. Middleton, Mrs. Hunt's classes will get separate instructions regarding MI-Access Testing for 11th graders.

4 Why Do I Need to Take the MME?
Determines Student Growth for students from year to year!! ACT Explore 8thACT PLAN 9th ACT Released 10thMME 11th The MME is mandatory for juniors in the state of Michigan – all 3 days must be completed during this schedule (other Saturday ACT’s do not substitute) ACT portion is college reportable – and is paid for by the state It is a graduation requirement for Carman-Ainsworth High School Can earn exam exemptions in senior year through MME only (voted student favorite!)

DAY 1 Tuesday, March 4, 2014 ACT + Writing English 75 items/45 minutes Math 60 items/60 minutes Reading 40 items/35 minutes Science 40 items/35 minutes Writing 1 prompt/30 minutes

6 DAY 1 Tuesday, March 4, 2014 ACT + Writing – college reportable scores
Report at 7:20 am to cafeteria Dismissed to Testing Room (info will be posted) Testing will be completed for most students by 12:15 *ACT Approved Accommodations may have different testing times.

DAY 2 Wednesday, March 5, 2014 ACT WorkKeys Reading for Information 33 items/45 minutes Applied Math items/45 minutes Locating Information items/45 minutes

8 DAY 2 Wednesday, March 5, 2014 NO LATE START – ACT WorkKeys
Buses will run at normal time Report at 7:20 am to Testing Room Testing will be completed by 10:45 am and classes below will meet in afternoon Hrs. 1st-3rd meet – lunch attached to 1st hour DAY 2

9 What Does the MME Include?
DAY 3 Thursday, March 6, 2014 Michigan Items Math items/30 minutes Science 49 items/35 minutes Social Studies 48 items/35 minutes May include any State of Michigan mandated High School Content Expectations not covered by the ACT.

Michigan Testing – Math, Science and Social Studies Report at 7:20 am to Testing Room Testing will be completed by 10:45 pm and hours 4th – 6th will meet in afternoon Lunch attached to 4th hour

13 Attendance at MME Testing is CRITICAL!
It is critical that juniors are present to take the MME on the scheduled dates. Have parent CALL IN ( ) if ill. Only ONE makeup session is scheduled (March 18-20) All ACT testing guidelines MUST be followed – no exceptions!!

14 Necessary Items for Test Days:
Photo ID – Driver’s License or School ID Pencils/Calculator Snack for break all days Regular lunch on 3/5 and 3/6

15 Testing Hints Once a testing session ends – do not go back and bubble – entire MME Test will be voided. Tests are timed – pace yourself. Make sure you answer every question.

16 Special Notes Arrive on Time!!! Late Arrivals are not permitted to test and will be sent home! Report to cafeteria on Day 1 ABSOLUTELY NO Cell Phones/Electronics – leave at home or put in locker! The entire MME Test is voided if cell phone/electronics are brought in the room!

17 Preparation for Testing
Go to SLEEP early the night before testing! Eat breakfast!
