NOTES SET-UP SECTION 4.2 & 4.3: Create a fresh new page #D3 and title it Section 4.2. Then create a fresh new page #D3 and title it Section 4.3. For Section 4.2, cut out the diagram from the handout and glue it into your notebook. For Section 4.3, copy the table from Notebook Guide 4 into your notebook. Make sure to copy all the information. It will fit onto one page of notes. Save the Icons for later.

SECTION 4.2 NOTES: Read Section 4.2, starting on page 38 to 39. Follow the Notebook Guide 4 directions for Section 4.2 notes. Use markers/colored pencils/crayons to help make your advertisements standout, if you have them, color is not required . When directed by Mr. Galindo, each student at the tables will read aloud and share your advertisements. While the other students assume the roles of enslaved Africans or American Indians and say aloud what their characters are thinking. Rotate to each students so they may share their advertisement and participate as an American Indian or enslaved African. REMEMBER to follow the 7 Norms of Collaboration.
