4. Incentivised Funding Self-Assessment
Lincolnshire one of the first 2 “band 3” authorities

5. MSIG/MHA Workshops on Risk-Based Approach
Lincolnshire introduced a risk based approach for response to Highways defects in 2015
MSIG took this on as a project to produce a common approach to support all member Authorities
MHA and MSIG have been running a series of workshops around the risk-based approach helping authorities share ideas and develop “strength in numbers”

6. Resilient Road Network
“The Resilience of England’s Transport Systems in Winter” suggested the development of a “Resilient Road Network” in 2010
Referenced in Self-Assessment and new Code of Practice
Leicestershire started work on a unified approach which is now being rolled out across all of MSIG
Ensures consistency across boundaries and useful for sharing ideas and information

Cross-boundary salting routes – develop better collaboration with adjoining authorities over policies and operations
