1 Sightseers Industry: Marketing

2 Marketing summary: The campaign needed to showcase the dark humour, the cast and the unique nature of the film and appeal to fans of British comedy. An online teaser campaign drove interest and intrigue for the film amongst core films fans, then the campaign was broadened out closer to release with TV programming such as Fresh Meat & films including Kill List and Submarine, London Underground and high impact press placements including a wrap on Guardian’s Film & Music). From a modest budget of £2million, mostly funded by the BFI, Sightseers went on to gross over £600k at the box office.
