Communication interference:
1) Use of extremes: All black or all white. Patient may be viewed by pharmacist as robust and healthy or sick and dying 2) Use of labels: People tend to believe to persons with prestigious position. every man in a white coat is physician.

3) Use of misevaluation : Patient or pharmacist may believe he knows everything about a certain topic. 4) Use of time constraints: Use lack of time as an excuse not to communication. 5) Use of space.

Barriers in Communication:
1)Enviromental barriers: Level of pharmacy counter separating the patient from pharmacist. Crowded and noisy pharmacy area. 2)Personal barriers: Lack of of confidence (low self esteem)

3) Patient barriers: Patients perceive the pharmacist as not being Knowledgeable. No questions, do not listen to advice Patient believe his condition is minor. 4) Administrative barrier:

5)Time barriers: Choosing an inappropriate time to talk lead to communication failure. The time of the interacting is critical ,because neither you nor the patient may be ready to communicate at a given time patient :need to relax. pharmacist: a large number of prescriptions need to be filled in a short time.
