Highlights For This Month:
Theme/Knowledge Focus: We will conclude our discussion about “My Family” and begin with “Our Community.” Children will learn about the role of the community in their lives and the importance of good citizenship.
Literacy Goals: In class we will discuss syllables, compound words, story sequence, book handling, making predictions, story characters, contributing ideas for writing, letter formation and initial sounds, asking and answering questions, and using picture clues.
Math Goals: In class we will discuss position words to describe routes, compare shorter and longer routes, compare numerals to 5, recognize and identify AB patterns, match numeral to set, and ordinal numbers.
Books we will read in school (include, but are not limited to):

Parent Reminder:
+Parent, please remember Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled this month!! If you have not already scheduled a meeting with the teacher, please contact me no later than November 2. If you have scheduled a conference, please plan to arrive on time for your scheduled meeting.
+Parents please be sure to label ALL of your child’s winter clothes with his/her name.
+Please be sure to check and empty backpacks (school folders) on a daily basis. We want to make sure you are informed of all the great things your child is doing in school!
