Name Ideas -Examples Photography For You Photographer Shutterbugs -The People’s Photographer -Which is most suitable and what does it mean? Each one of the titles on this list works well for the concept I want, but my favourite is Shutterbugs. The word ‘shutterbug’ means “an enthusiastic amateur photographer” or “non-commercial or nonprofessional photographer.” Shutterbug Accessed 01/11/

Target Audience - After conducting my research, I determined that my audience would most likely be young adult females, between the ages of 18 and However, the photography demographics presented on YouGov show that men over the age of 55 enjoy photography more than their younger counterpart. The YouGov survey also showed that although a higher percentage were men, this was only slightly higher than the percentage of women. Therefore, my target audience could simply be ‘those who enjoy photography.’ - The nature of the magazine I wish to make will be aimed towards ‘beginners and amateurs’ which could fall into any age group.
5
Advertising - Considering that this will be a digital magazine, it makes sense for it to be advertised digitally too. It is likely that it will be advertised on social media websites, such as Facebook and Twitter This will be done though the use of sidebar ads and hyperlinks to the magazine itself.
6
Unique Selling Point - The unique selling point of this magazine will be that it is geared towards beginners. The language will be simplified but not in a way that could come across as patronising. All the technicalities of photography will be present but in a simpler, easy to understand format This is simply because a lot of photography based magazines are geared towards photographers with experience. I want to teach people with an interest in the subject, gently introducing them into the subject.
7
Pricing - As I mentioned previously, I think the price will be between £2 and £4. I concluded this during my own primary research, in which I noted that younger people were only willing to pay approximately £2 for a magazine, whereas the slightly older age bracket were more likely to pay a little higher.

Main Stories -Review The Opteka 58mm macro lens A new piece of equipment that I have that is relatively easy to get hold of. To present the world of macro and close up photography Feature A Crash Course in basic photography Will include information regarding DSLR cameras and how to use them, exposure times and settings, how to utilise lighting and shadows, different equipment that can aid your photography etc.
10
Success -Will my magazine be successful? I think that my magazine could be successful as it caters to different group of people than pre-existing photography magazines. It will be a relatively cheap compilation of information to teach those who wish to pursue the hobby rather than those who already have experience in photography.
