Government's approach to ITS: the ITS Action Plan
In 2013, the Ministry of Transport decided it should develop an ITS strategy, or as it became, an Action Plan Aim is to ensure we are ready to take advantage of ITS technologies that would benefit New Zealand Final Action Plan was based on several rounds of consultation over 18 months Released in June 2014 4

Data also creates economic benefits through its re-use to develop new products and services. For example, in the United Kingdom, the opening up of Transport for London data has been valued at £15–58 million and resulted in the development of around 500 apps by private companies 8
