Where is the Nile The Nile River runs from south to north in the northeast part of Africa, Egypt Look at the elevation map and see how the flow is affected. Notice the Upper and Lower Egypt and Upper and Lower Nubia and their locations There are several places that are below sea level, that is cool What separates Nubia and Egypt

The Nile Through Nubia From Khartoum in the South to Aswan in the North There are six rocky rapids called Cataracts Has an ‘S’ shape

The Nile Through Egypt Begins at the First Cataract and flows 700 miles to the Mediterranean Sea There is a fertile strip along in upper Egypt that is about 6 mile wide on average The Nile spreads out to a fertile, marshy area called Lower Egypt It ends in a Delta
