2. An Unclear Result The sample you sent in was not clear
It may mean there was a slight trace of blood in your poo sample
It does not mean that you have cancer

3. Bowel test kit for an unclear result
Bowel Screening Wales will send you a new test kit
This test is better at finding blood
You take the test in the same way you did before but you only need to do it twice

4. Bowel test kit for an unclear result
This bowel test kit only has one flap
Once you start the test you must finish it within 10 days

6. Doing the bowel test
Spread the poo thinly on the first window

7. Doing the bowel test Lift the flap over the window to close it.
Tuck the flap under the coloured tab
It is important to remember to close the window

8. Doing the bowel test Put the kit somewhere safe
Don’t leave the kit on the window sill
Don’t put it in the fridge
Keep the kit away from children and animals

Now wash your hands!

When you next go to the toilet for a poo use the second cardboard stick
Remember you don’t need a lot!
Put it on the second window

11. Doing the bowel test Lift the flap over the window to close it.
Tuck the flap under the coloured tab
It is important to remember to close the window

Now you have completed the test
You can relax

Now wash your hands!

Check that you have written on the kit
your name
date of birth
dates you did the tests
Put the test kit in the envelope and close it

You do NOT need a stamp, it’s FREE!

16. What happens to my test ? You will get your results in the post
