Week 2 (May 21 – May 28, 2018)
Accomplishments:
Cleaned up the Smart Home dataset acquired for Umass
Trained a basic neural network with the dataset
Figured out the implementation for the Smart Home project
Problem & Solutions
Only understand the basics of deep learning so I need to look up more tutorials
Do not have the GitHub code for the android application
Plans for next week:
Buy the motors and heating lamp so I can start simulating the smart home
Learn more about deep learning and train a more complicated neural network (LSTM)
Look up the different sensors that can be used with a raspberry pi
