Language Objective By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the language domains of reading and writing to communicate the academic math language of exponents and patterns. They will verbally communicate and write formulas with exponents to evaluate and solve real world problems. They will show they understand if they can properly use the academic math language vocabulary to communicate and successfully complete at least 2 out of the 3 real world problems with at least 80% accuracy. Academic Math Language Vocabulary: exponents, patterns, formula, evaluate.
