Half of the moon is always reflecting light from the sun. Moonlight is actually sunlight!

4 What we know about the moon
The moon revolves around the Earth once every month. The moon rotates on its axis once every month. The moon gets light from the Sun. The Earth and the Moon Revolve around the Sun together at a distance that is about 92 million miles away.

5 Moon Phases Investigation- Physical Model
Investigation Question: If half of the moon is always illuminated why do we not always see a full moon? A physical model is a simplified material representation, either enlarged or reduced in size, of an object or phenomenon that needs to investigated.
