19(30-31) In the early 1930s planes were small, only holding around 10 people. The cabin had no heading or cooling so if it was a hot day the plane was burning if it a cold day the plane was freezing. They had no ventilation so they usually smelt bad. 2 types of planes that were used in the early 30’s were the Boeing model 80 and the Ford 5AT

19(32-35) During the Mid 30’s women could be flight attendants although they could not weigh more then 118lb and could not bet taller then 5.4” Newer planes were build like the Douglas DC-2 and the Douglas DC-3. They could hold 15 people and had some ventilation so the plane would not be to unpleasant. People started flying by instruments as apposed to sight. (1935) You could here flight conditions and the weather over your radio.(1932

19(36-40) In the late 30’s Canada made there own air line(1937) called Trans Canada Airlines (TAC) In 1939 TAC had 15 planes Planes could hold 15 people.
