This powerpoint can be used to support the teaching of ‘Number’ targeted towards the month age band.

2. Teaching tips:
Encourage the children to count the smiley faces, point to each smiley face and encourage the children to use their fingers to support their counting. Now reveal the number. Were they correct? Re count the smiley faces so that it corresponds to the numeral.
Ext: why not get the children to have a go at writing the numeral before or after t has been revealed?
