During most months, the moon travels a little above or below the suns plane in the sky
During a Solar eclipse the moon blocks light from the sun, preventing the light from reaching the Earth
Two to four times a year it is on the same plane and an eclipse occurs
Solar eclipses can be only be seen along a narrow path in the sky They are NOT safe to watch
