One of the defining characteristics of a social movement is that it is relatively long lasting; the activity of the membership is sustained over a period of weeks, months, or even years rather than flaring up for a few hours or a few days and then disappearing. (CPF started in 1977)

Collaborative Networks
Independent contribution/Systems approach System as a solution that integrates all the moving parts of the organization into a well oiled machine all working towards realizing a goal. Traditionally, the various parts of an association are independent and contribute in a dynamic way to furthering the organization as a whole – too often they exist in silos – often co-existing separate from each other.

Naylor Report – Key Discussion
While a very small minority of CPF stakeholders engaged for the membership model review talked about imploding the current membership model, the data strongly shows that stakeholders want to make a genuine attempt to address the problems with the current model before turning to a whole new strategy.
