Now this is what the Lord says—
Meditation Isaiah 43:1-2, 5 Now this is what the Lord says— The One who created you, Jacob, the One who formed you, Israel –“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you. For I Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel and your Savior…am with you.”

*Call to Worship Based on Isaiah I One: The vision that the son of Amoz saw during the reins of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Men: “Listen, heavens, and pay attention, earth, for the Lord has spoken: I have raised children and brought them up but they have rebelled against me.” Women: Why do we keep rebelling? The whole head is hurt, and the whole heart is sick. From the soul of the foot even to the head, no spot is uninjured.
7
One: Hear the word of the Lord… Listen to the instruction of our God.
Many: “Wash yourselves. Cleanse yourselves. Stop doing evil. Learn to do what is good. If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good things of the land.” One: So now, we sing, with all that we have and are. We praise God together.

3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. 4 And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known his deeds among the nations; proclaim that his name is exalted. 5 Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be known in all the earth. 6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, O royal Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.
