1 STORYBOARD ACTIVITY “CHECKOUTS”

2 Storyboard Activity Now that we have finished the short story “Checkouts” by Cynthia Rylant, you are to complete a Storyboard. Your storyboard will consist of the six elements of plot discussed in class: Exposition Conflict Rising Action Climax Falling Action Resolution Follow the directions below to complete your storyboard, focusing on the elements of the plot. Students that wish to use the website storyboardthat.com must submit a hard copy in addition to the digital presentation. Divide your paper into six sections (Write your header in the top left corner) Each Section should be labeled 1-6 (On the backside, same as your header) Based on the short story “Checkouts” draw an image that corresponds to each section of plot Describe the part of plot your image relates to behind each picture to clarify what is going on.

4 BACK: WRITE THE EXPLANATION OF THE IMAGE AND ITS CONNECTION TO THE PLOT
