Sub-Focus: Directions, movement and finding space.
Session Aim: To recognise space and when the right time is to move in to it, as well as being aware of others around you.

To be able to find space when moving in different directions.
To be aware of surroundings and change speed and direction.

Travelling around area in different ways such as jogging, side steps etc. (Using cone as steering wheel)

Introduce ‘traffic lights’ (coloured cones). When coach holds up red this means stop, green means go, and orange is get ready (jogging on spot). Children must complete these instructions according to which light is held up.
Introduction of obstacles:
- Hurdles (speed bumps) (jumping)
- Hoops (roundabouts) (turning)
- Skipping ropes (bridge) (balancing)
- Tall hurdles (tunnel) (crawling low)
- Ladders (train track) (fast feet/agility)

Incorporation of learnt skills in to game situation.
Using obstacles and traffic lights still, however when coach shouts particular instruction (e.g park your cars), children must find a floor spot and sit on it as quickly as possible.

5. Assessment
Struggles to find space or change speed and direction. May occasionally do one of the objectives.
Finds space and changes speed and direction on occasions. May frequently do one of the two objectives but not both
