Reminders Make sure to label all jackets and sweaters that come to school. There is no “Lost and Found” at MCE. Lost jackets will be returned to their owners when they are found--if there is a name. Also be sure to send any money coming to school in an envelope or ziplock bag with your child’s name and the money’s purpose. Lunch money can suddenly become Fun Friday money in your first grader’s mind if it is not labeled. Fall conferences are in full swing. If you have not made a conference appointment, please do so as soon as possible. Can you believe we are almost one-third of the way through our first grade year? Our students have worked hard to adjust to the expectations of first grade, but we have so much more to accomplish before the end of the year. We need our first graders to be even more focused now, especially with the holidays right around the corner. We will continue to encourage excellent behavior at school with positive strategies, but we are raising our expectations of the kids, and you may see more notes in folders. Please encourage your student to be their best!
